AOL expands services for kids

Interactive services provider America Online and 4Kids Entertainment have launched an all-new world on AOL's KOL service for kids.

The new service gives children access to customised content, video, games and interactive features from more than 10 popular brands represented by 4Kids Entertainment, a global provider of children's entertainment and merchandise licensing.

Kids on the KOL service can now enter the 4Kids World, which features Yu-Gi-Oh! and the FOX BOX 2004-2005 Saturday morning line-up of Winx Club, One Piece, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, F-Zero, Kirby and Shaman King.

In the 4Kids World, children can access special programming and interactive features on these television series, including information about upcoming episodes, buddy icons, games, printables and new toys. 4Kids World will also have special content on Cabbage Patch Kids, Artlist Collection: The Dog/The Cat, the Incredible Crash Dummies, American Kennel Club and Monster Jam.

The KOL service has also launched two additional new worlds - Popstar! world, a special area with content from Popstar! Magazine, and a new "Cartoons and Video" world, which provides children using AOL for Broadband a one stop shop for video content from the KOL service including the popular animated series Princess Natasha and Kung Fu Academy and streaming video of Radio KOL.

The KOL service is the first version of the America Online service designed entirely for kids.
