'Mind reading' search engine launched

Search engine developer KaZaZZ! claims its innovative new service Intelli-Match (Mind Reader) can read users' minds.

The Dallas-based firm says it has witnessed a steady increase in new surfers visiting its search engine on a daily basis to get personalised search suggestions.

Intelli-Match (Mind Reader), launched in April 2004, gauges consumer's search interests based on their previous search patterns and provides related search suggestions within the Mind Reader Search Box during subsequent visits to KaZaZZ!

For example, an initial search for "fantasy football" on KaZaZZ! would generate sports related search suggestions during a consumer's next visit to the search engine. The site features web, news, shopping, mp3 and picture search.

To keep pace with consumer's changing search interests, the new technology continuously updates itself to match the consumer's new search interests. To avoid privacy concerns, the Intelli-Match (Mind Reader) search technology has been designed to work without storing any personal search information within its databases.

"Since April, we have seen a lot of surfers using our site as a search engine as well as an entertainment site," Karl Hall, KaZaZZ! chief executive officer, commented. "This week, many of our sports surfers were greeted with the suggestion, "Tiger Woods Wedding"; web search results for this topic, as well and others on KaZaZZ! include a list of relevant web sites as well as related pictures."
