Kelkoo appoints new marketing boss
8 June 2004
Yahoo subsidiary Kelkoo has announced that Greg Grant has been appointed as the company's new marketing director.
Mr Grant takes over from Dorothea Arndt, who has been moved to a new pan-European position within the firm, as director of search and distribution. He has previously worked as head of marketing for online property portals PropertyFinder.co.uk and Assertahome.com.
E-commerce service Kelkoo is the largest in Europe, with operations in nine countries, covering almost 10 per cent of all European internet users.
As the new marketing director, Mr Grant will take charge of traffic acquisition and all marketing activities including white-label partnerships and affiliates, as well as strengthening the company's brand name.
He will also be in control of exporting Kelkoo's content across portals and internet sites and has already begun working on a re-launch of Kelkoo's affiliate programme. Kelkoo plans to increase the amount an affiliate can earn for generating a lead, while also introducing various payment schemes for affiliates.
Kelkoo becomes a subsidiary of Yahoo later this year. The search engine purchased the online shopping comparison service in March, in a cash deal worth 475 million euros.
