Softbank BB currently offers Wi-Fi access on a trial basis at no charge in 636 locations in Japan, including restaurants, airports and hotels.
It plans to expand the number to 5,000 by the end of its current business year ending March 2005, making it the largest Wi-Fi provider in Japan.
