SideStep launches hotel search web offering

Travel search engine SideStep Inc has launched a new hotel search service.
SideStep Hotels is a new web-based version of the company's popular hotel search offering.
More than five million people to date have downloaded then SideStep toolbar to help them discover flight, hotel and rental car bargains.
SideStep is now also offering its hotel search service via the web, with no download required.
SideStep Hotels searches dozens of web sites, including online agencies, consolidators, and the sites of the hoteliers themselves, to find outstanding hotel deals.
The new service also enables users to find rooms in the hotels they want when other sites have sold out. With SideStep Hotels, consumers buy directly from brands such as Holiday Inn, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Ramada, Hotels.com and Howard Johnson.
SideStep also offers a comparison shopping service via the toolbar, so that travellers can view results alongside those from other popular travel sites.
