Yahoo to deliver full Internet radio service in 2004
24 December 2003
Yahoo says it is planning to launch a comprehensive version of its Internet radio station LaunchCast in the UK next year.
Currently the service can only offer pre-programmed stations, but the firm says the service will be completely customised from 2004.
The news comes as the ISP prepares to end its contract with music distribution firm OD2, which will see the company stop offering downloads via Dotmusic
Yahoo landed Dotmusic for an undisclosed sum back in October, and was originally planning to use it as the basis for Launch.
The company also made clear today that it had contacted all of its customers about the changes to its music offerings.
