Strong growth for search marketing

Search engines will play a more significant role in marketing campaigns in the coming years, according to new research.
Projections from the market analysis firm, Jupiter Research, suggest the European market could be worth as much as €363 million by 2005.
Jupiter also expects marketers to allocate a greater proportion of their spending to paid search engine marketing.
'Search engine marketing has developed into one of the most exciting and fastest growing areas of the online advertising marketplace,' Jupiter analyst Julian Smith told netimperative.com
'To maximise returns from this activity advertisers should recognise its constant dynamism and dedicate resources to optimise keyword bidding throughout the duration of the campaign,' he added.
