Yahoo! tests blog search in South Korea

5 August 2005

Yahoo! has reportedly started testing its blog search engine in South Korea

The blog search forms part of the Yahoo! South Korea portal and, if it proves a success, the internet portal is expected to unveil the service in other countries, posing a threat to established sites such as Technorati.

Yahoo! is reportedly planning to start testing its blog search service in the US over the next few months.

Blog search service Technorati predicts that the number of blogs on the internet is doubling every five-and-a-half months. The site is already tracking more than 14.2 million blogs.
