Dogpile adds MSN Search
3 August 2005
Infospace has announced that its Dogpile metasearch engine has added MSN Search to its layered results
Dogpile segregates results by search engine and already offers users combined and separate results from Google, Yahoo! and Ask Jeeves.
Dogpile offers search for images, audio, video and yellow and white pages and is planning to add search capabilities for mobile devices, enhanced video, blogs and potentially travel and jobs, according to Brian Bowman, vice president of marketing and product management at InfoSpace.
Dogpile announced in May that it was adding MSN to provide a complete metasearch to customers. Microsoft has signed a two-year contract with Dogpile to offer its search service to more users.
"Dogpile.com ... is a powerful distribution channel that will help us extend the reach of MSN Search," said Lisa Gurry, group product manager at MSN Search.
