Moyles tops Apple podcast chart in a day

BBC Radio 1's breakfast show topped the Apple Top Subscribed Podcasts UK chart this week, just ten hours after it debuted.
The show, hosted by DJ Chris Moyles, stormed ahead of BBC Radio 4's Today programme, to claim the number one slot in the format. Podcasts are sent to listeners' computers and can be downloaded and listened to at any time on computers and MP3 players, such as iPods.
The best of Chris Moyles' shows are now being broadcast for download every Thursday as podcasts, the BBC reports. The corporation is running trials of a number of podcasts, including Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent and Five Live's Sportsweek, to see how viewers respond to them.
"I'm glad that even more people can enjoy the show and now even computer geeks from around the world can help feed my ego," Moyles said.
