The annual event consists of a series of problem-solving challenges that invite participants to select a programming language and use their programming skills to code solutions.
Alan Eustace, vice president of engineering at Google, said: " The Google Code Jam celebrates some of the best work in problem solving from the fastest and most talented computer scientists in the world. Programmers interested in competing in the Code Jam can register at www.topcoder.com/googlecodejam and the qualification rounds begin on August 22nd. One hundred finalists will be invited to compete in the Championship Round to be held at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California, on September 23rd 2005.
