FatLens shopping search engine officially launched

Shopping search engine Fatlens has announced its consumer launch following several months of successful beta testing.
The Mountain View-based site claims to be the web's most powerful shopping search engine and said in a statement that the search engine has been designed to make shopping for tickets easy and fast.
FatLens helps online ticket buyers locate and compare shopping across a multitude of ticket sales sites, helping them to find the best seats for less.
The shopping site is initially focused on event ticket sales, but plans to deliver the same comprehensive and relevant search experience for more shopping categories later this year.
"Summer is the time for concerts and baseball games and consumers are quickly moving online for ticket shopping. Even with all of the internet search sources, it's not easy to find the best tickets, at the lowest prices," said Nanda Kishore, CEO, FatLens.
"The FatLens site is unique because it searches hundreds of sites, including Ticketmaster, Craigslist and eBay, to provide music and sports fans with the widest available selection of tickets and even some great bargains."
The FatLens boss added that the company had used the beta testing period to fine-tune the search engine's capabilities and make it accessible to consumers. The website took user suggestions into account and produced a new user interface and new capabilities to speed up the ticket shopping process.
FatLens worked with Agency.com to design a user interface specifically tailored for shopping search, which enables users to narrow their search, first by selecting a specific event, and then by looking at price, seating location and seller options. FatLens also developed new tracking technology to link consumers directly to the specific ticket at the merchant's site.
