ValueClick and Overture ink sponsored search and content deal

ValueClick Europe and Overture Services have announced that they have signed a new multi-year sponsored search agreement.
Under the terms of the pan-European deal, Overture will provide Sponsored Search and Content Match listings to ValueClick's Search123 division.
Overture's sponsored search listings will be distributed to ValueClick's PriceRunner sites across Europe (including UK, Germany, France, Denmark and Sweden) and other sites included in the ValueClick Europe media network.
Sponsored Search is Overture's core sponsored search product and Content Match is its contextual advertising product. As the premium paid listings partner of Search123, Overture will display up to four results in addition to three results from Search123.
Carl White, chief operating officer, ValueClick Europe, commented on the deal: "We are delighted to have chosen Overture as our premium paid listings partner for PriceRunner and the ValueClick media properties. We believe that this agreement will give us the greatest opportunity to quickly grow revenues for publishers whilst launching Search123 into the UK market."
Stephen Taylor, regional vice president and managing director, Overture Europe, added: "The huge growth in the use of the internet for buying online and researching offline purchases highlights the importance of shopping portals in particular. As a result of this deal, users of all sites in the ValueClick Europe network will have access to a greater range of relevant results and Overture advertisers can generate additional targeted leads."
