Yahoo! announces online music service

Net portal Yahoo! has announced that it plans to launch a European version of its online music subscription service.
Yahoo! Music Unlimited has already been launched in the US and the web giant now hopes to offer the service in all countries with a Yahoo! Music site, though no launch date has yet been set.
The Yahoo! Music Unlimited service allows users to play tunes from a catalogue of more than one million songs and transfer tracks to portable devices. Subscribers may also share music with friends through Yahoo! Messenger.
US subscribers to the Yahoo! service pay an introductory trial price of $4.99 (£2.66) per month on an annual basis, or $6.99 (£3.73) per month, on a month by month basis.
