Cybergolf unveils new search engine for golfers

Cybergolf has announced the launch of Cybergolf Search, a new search engine that has been "designed and developed to fill the missing need for relevant web search results for the golf industry and consumer".

Cybergolf Search is built using Vertical Search Technology (VST), developed by Cybergolf, that enables refined searching coupled with embedded e-commerce tools. The technology has been developed to be used across any industry.

The Washington-based golf site claims that the creation of Cybergolf Search was prompted by golf courses' growing frustration at not being found in mainstream search engines, as well as golfers' inability to quickly find relevant results.

Cybergolf Search displays only relevant golf results, which are sorted and displayed, cutting through thousands of non-relevant listings. Cybergolf has also integrated unique e-commerce technology in Cybergolf Search, which enables golf courses to sell tee times, gift cards, merchandise and tournament registrations within the Search user interface.
