New head of search for ValueClick

Digital marketing solutions firm ValueClick has announced the appointment of Nigel Frith as head of search for its European business.

Mr Frith joins ValueClick Europe from international search company InfoSpace, where he was responsible for the UK business development strategy of their search and directories business, and he has over thirteen years experience in sales and business development.

His responsibilities will include driving the European launch and development strategy for Search123, ValueClick's pay per click search marketing business, as well as addressing how to effectively grow other search related revenues across ValueClick's existing business portfolio.

Commenting on the appointment, Carl White, ValueClick European managing director, said: "Nigel is an excellent addition to our growing European management team and brings extensive knowledge of business development and sales from both search marketing and online media industries. Nigel's experience from InfoSpace will be key in assisting our clients and agencies in getting the very best from their search activities. The launch of Search123 will extend ValueClick Europe's unique ability to offer a one stop shop solution to advertisers and publishers."

A pay per click search engine is one remaining key area we have not had in Europe until now. We will launch Search123 in the UK later in 2005 with further European roll-out planned in 2006."
