SEMPO appoints Board of Directors

The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) has announced the results of its first member-wide elections for the SEMPO Board of Directors.
The new SEMPO Board of Directors consists of thirteen individuals that represent all segments of search engine marketing worldwide
The Palo Alto-based non-profit professional association works to promote the value of search engine marketing (SEM) worldwide and the elections for 13 Board seats resulted in representation from North America, Japan and Europe, as well as from varying sizes of companies.
SEMPO members provided nominations for board directors and all member companies and individuals were given the opportunity to vote earlier this month.
Five incumbent board members were re-elected along with eight first-time Board members and the new Board will serve a one-year term, taking over by March 31st. The Board will elect officers at its first meeting.
"It is exciting to see the breadth and depth of the new Board. Their fresh ideas, experience in the search engine marketing industry, and their important connections to the membership and sponsorship will help SEMPO fulfil its mission and grow a stronger, more influential organisation," said Barbara Coll, current SEMPO chair, president and founder.
