Google launches Movie Showtime Search
2 March 2005
Search giant Google has unveiled a new video search offering that allows users to search for their favourite films.
Google recently launched a search service that enables people to search for television shows and has now created Movie Showtime Search,
which is also available through Short Messaging Service (SMS) on personal computers or mobile phones and other wireless devices.
The service enables surfers to look up Movie Showtimes on the internet and get relevant information like cinema locations and reviews, searching for movies by title, plot, or genre.
The Google search integrates results with other services like Google News and Google Maps.
MSN and Yahoo! have independent Movie Sections, which provide similar information in a generic way.
