Overture extends Microsoft search deal

Overture Services, a subsidiary of Yahoo has extended its search distribution relationship with software giant Microsoft.

Under the new agreement Overture will provide search results to users of Microsoft's MSN Search service.

Results will be made available to users in both the UK and the US in a deal that is set to continue through June 2005.

Additionally, provisions have been made for the companies to potentially expand into new countries in the future.

Microsoft recently decided not to renew a contract with LookSmart in which it provided search results for its MSN subscribers.
