Thanks a bunch for this.
This seems to be the one thing I was certainly overlooking when it came to email marketing. After paying much more attention to the subject lines of my emails I was sending; I’ve been able to generate a lot more leads and my conversions have drastically improved.
After all the subject line is the one thing that makes someone decide whether or not they’re going to open the email or delete it right away.
Interesting article, thank you for being so informative!
Great step by step help with email marketing. Thank you so much!
It’s true. If the subject line isn’t compelling, I don’t ever open the email. (Even if it is, if it’s too salesy, I’m just as likely to pass).
Yes James, one of the reason’s that led me to write the series is that I have 77,000 unread emails, and they are all emails I have skipped because of the title and I did not recognise who it was from. They lost me at ‘hello’!
I get a lot of spam email, and it makes me wonder if some of this spam can possibly be successful by any means.
It just seems that the sales pitches are right there in the subject line; and it makes it look so spammy that I quickly delete it. (Nike Jordans 19.99!)
They could really make some use of David’s teachings, lol.
Hi Nancy, thanks for your comments, quite a few people have said the same – and at last, someone has said so as a comment!
